Helping You Overcome Stress, Anxiety, & Fear
Do You Struggle With?
Has Anxiety Taken Over Your Life?
When anxiety gets out of control, it’s hard to live the life you want. Time with family and friends isn’t enjoyable. You feel distracted, preoccupied, and worried. You become irritable, annoyed, or easily frustrated. Sometimes you want to avoid the people you are closest too; the ones who care about you the most. Anxiety can drive a wedge between you and your partner, leading to disagreements and arguments. When you try to talk to others, they just don’t understand or get how difficult this is.
Even when you’re alone, anxiety can get in the way. You feel tension in your neck, knots in your stomach, and tightness in your chest. Without meaning to, your mind replays unfinished tasks, future problems, and past mistakes. You can’t get the rest and calm that you need and deserve.

How Will I Help You?
I use an supportive and active problem-solving approach to therapy. It is important that we understand why you’re feeling anxious and stuck. I want to know whether it’s really you’re marriage that is upsetting you, a domineering boss, family issues, or past traumas. Once we understand this, I’ll help you develop a vision of a life you want to live, doing the things you want to do, and feeling the way you want to feel. I know it may seem hard to believe but it is possible to feel better. I see it every day in the clients I help.
I use a variety of techniques based on your past experiences, preferences, and needs. I find that mindfulness is one of the most effective ways to start to manage anxiety and stress. Mindfulness is a way to get out of your head and into your life. It’s about being involved in the present moment rather than regretting the past or worrying about the future. I also use active problem-solving. I’ll help you develop a plan and learn the skills to make tough decisions, find time for yourself, and set limits with demands on your time.
