Issues I Can Help You With

My Style of Therapy

My therapeutic approach is collaborative in nature. I view every therapeutic relationship as a group effort, where together we process how your personal qualities, values and strengths can help you. I strive to offer an environment that is nonjudgmental, trauma-informed, relaxing, supportive and empathic to all.  I provide psychoeducation, to also assist those to feel less shameful, grow insight and develop skills tailored to the individuals I am working with.

I utilize various evidence-based psychotherapy approaches that best suit the specific individual. I find that utilizing evidence based strategies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) can assist in alleviating symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD, negative self-talk and schema’s you have towards yourself or how you perceive situations.

A Strength-Based Approach

Asking for help is a sign of strength and courage. Sometimes having support can help us cope with trauma and stress. You already have the internal strengths. We will work together to identify your strengths and improve your coping.

I work from this strength-based perspective and tailor my practice to highlight your individual internal strengths.  We will work together to enhance your coping and improve your resiliency.

Cognitive Behavior Therapy

Life can be challenging at times. The way we perceive these circumstances and the way we have learned to cope with these circumstances in the past, may not be the approach you want moving forward. Sometimes we may choose a strategy that will provide quick relief, instead of lasting change.

Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) is engaging and active through each therapy session.  We will address your needs to identify and develop insight into your thoughts, behaviors and feelings. This will empower you to break the vicious cycles and negative outcomes. The goal will be to improve your symptoms of anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and emotional dysregulation.
