Do I Really Need Counseling?

Many people are nervous about taking the leap and starting therapy. While inviting another person into your space can feel overwhelming, therapy provides a safe and supportive environment to share your thoughts and feelings and discover the root of problems and concerns.

If you have questions, concerns, or fears, you can always reach out to my by text, email, or phone before setting up an appointment. I look forward to hearing from you.

Issues I Can Help You With

My Style of Therapy

I want you to live your fullest life. I do this by using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT helps people change negative thinking patterns that the brain sometimes experiences. When we find ourselves in these patterns, overall wellbeing suffers and we experience emotional distress.

Using CBT, we will identify problems, concerns, and areas of life where you feel unfulfilled and stuck. Together we will target and change these negative patterns of thinking and channel them into more accurate and adaptive thought patterns. As a result, you will feel more hopeful, confident, and able to cope with your problems.

Anxiety, Panic, Stress

When it comes to anxiety, panic, and stress, people often see their problems as too large to fix. That’s why I use CBT to break down big problems into smaller ones. These smaller parts are easier to address individually compared to the ‘big picture.’ I will carefully select therapeutic exercises and activities to assist you in adjusting your thinking patterns and developing new coping mechanisms.

My goal is for you to actively participate in our sessions and feeling more capable and prepared. With these new ways of coping, you can reduce your stress, anxiety, or panic and proactively address the stressors and obstacles in your life.
